I have been writing about these projects that started earlier in 2010 when I was contacted about the head sculpts. There have been multiple head sculpts of Jason created for 1/6 scale figures and most recently the artists had completed a Jason Goes To Hell head sculpt that I featured on my previous website. Now, the completed Jason sculpt for Jason Takes Manhattan was posted on the
Sideshow Freaks forum and it is quite impressive.
The creator was taking a limited amount of orders up until 10 buyers, but all spots have been filled. That being said, I thought the images of the sculpt must be seen by our visitors as it is really good work. Custom figures are completely top notch and should be pushing NECA to produce a mass produced figure of equal quality for all fans to own!
Great sculpt but that design is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is a very good sculpt, but yea the facial design of Jason in Part 8 is terrible.
ReplyDeleteThanks J.Fury for posting these pics of Betomatali's Jason Takes Manhattan 1/6 sculpt. Beto and I also realize that the movie is probably one of the worst in the entry as well as the design. But there was something still about this Jason that interested us. As you can see, Beto did a phenomenal job with sculpt and paint. Movie wise, it's not on my top list of the franchise. But figure wise, this is probably going to be one of my favorites that Beto will produce for me and my friend.
