Friday the 13th Hero Machete For Sale
Friday the 13th 2009 has no doubtedly been a hotly debateable film within the circles of the franchise community. Majority of the fans were not impressed with the overall production of the movie, but the one constant thought among everyone is that the character of Jason Voorhees was brought back to the silver screen with unholy relish, thanks to Derek Mears. So what if you had the chance to own Jason's machete from the film? Would you feel like Derek Mears behind the mask?
Just recently put up for sale on eBay is a screen-used hero machete from the 2009 film! We always advise to exercise caution when these items appear for sale on eBay, but some of the documentation looks legit, so why not let the fans know it is available. As per the description in the listing, the custom machete has a blade that is made of aluminum with studio distressing and the handle is made of wood with a leather wrap.
The seller shows that the original purchase price was $13,000 and with premium and shipping the final cost equaled close to $15,000! Now, the machete is available for purchase at the price of $7,999 or a possible best offer. This is way to rich for most average fans of the series, but collectors or a real ambitious fan may pounce on the opportunity. Again, make sure to always check out the validity of the item before completing the purchase.
Below are images of the machete from the original Profiles In History auction as well as documentation showing proof of authenticity. Good luck to those that want to throw their hat in on purchasing this rare piece of Friday the 13th history.
