Havoc's Friday the 13th Game Progressing!
This past January, we brought you news of a new Friday the 13th video game that was being developed by fans that are no strangers to creating video games in the past. Their previous effort, Friday the 13th 3D, unfortunately, never saw a completed phase, but the demo that was provided for play was a lot of fun. Today we have an update on the progress of their new Friday the 13th game.
Although the screen shots below are in no way a finished product, Havoc Games are showing where they intend to take this new Jason Voorhees game, and it should be an intense experience. For more info on this in-development video game, please visit the official website, http://www.havocgames.net/. Below is what Havoc had to say about the current work on the project.
I said I had intended on a test level, I haven’t met my goals yet, but have some other stuff set up I hadn’t intended. We have a weapon system up and working, with a few gore effects. Not perfect by far, but as it stands, we’re sort of working backwards to get what was a broken mess in the first game at least working here as well. The level you see is a work in progress by Ken that I’m using to test functionality. The weapons are also placeholders at this point re-used from the old project.
Adding weapons is relatively easy at this point, so if there are any requests feel free to post them.
This isn’t a definite list of what will be in game, but at this point I have these weapons working inside the test level.
