Friday the 13th: The Obsession Hock Image

Up to this point in the pre-production of Friday the 13th: The Obsession, we have reported on numerous casting news and the release of the brand new poster to help promote the web series. However, since this is a Friday the 13th series, and Jason at some point will be making an appearance, it would be nice to see a hockey mask.... right?

As mentioned yesterday, images of the in-progress hocks would be made available and behold, today the first image of the hockey masks have been revealed. Now, these are in-progreess masks and are not completed as of yet, but we do have a Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood mask in there, it appears. It will be interesting to see what other designs of the mask will be utilized throughout the 7 episode series!

    I am down with the Part 7 mask, if that ends up being the main mask for the show!

    If that is supposed to be a Part 7 mask, then I hope more is done to it to make it look like the screen used version. Unless they are going for their own version?

    While we want some of the masks to be 'reminiscent' of the ones from the series, we are generally going for our 'own' look.

    Jason is a figment of the lead characters imagination so he will take on the look of several different Jason's from different films, sometimes even 'combined' looks... like say a Part 4 mask, with 6 gloves and a chain from part 7 or whatever (nothing is in stone yet.. just tossing ideas) Even the Part 2 Jason will show up. She herself may wear a "Royish" mask.

    But no Jason in the film will go directly for an exact match of any screen Jason from before. Just as each sequel never tried to match the film before it, we are not trying to make any specific Jason. The Jason from the 'old' Obsession had the JGTH head, the part 3-4 shirt, the 6 belt and gloves and the 7 chain. We are going to do stuff like that again. But this time he may even change scene to scene.. since he is her imagination.

    This is a true creative fan film, not just us trying to copy other stuff.
