Behind The Scenes: Scott's Death, Part 2

Every fan enjoys seeing rare or never before seen images from the older films in the Friday the 13th film franchise. In a way, it's like watching a movie for the first time all over again. Perhaps, you may even see something in that rare photo that leads you to find out something new about one of the films.

Today's behind the scene image comes from Friday the 13th Part 2. Prior to the image listed below, Scott (Russell Todd) steals Terri's clothes while she is skinny dipping. She emerges from the water, a chase ensues, and Scott ends up in a trap, hanging from a rope attached to his leg. Jason later appears and slices Scott's throat with the dull side of the machete.

The image below was taken after Scott's death was filmed. Actor Russell Todd is shown with a considerable amount of blood around his neck and face, which shows his death was made to be particularly brutal. However, as we all know, the MPAA made the production of the film completely butcher (no pun intended) every single death scene. Images like the one below give fans a better idea of what a particular scene was meant to look like as we may never see the actual scene.
