Confirmed: Jason X Director Jim Isaac Battling Cancer
11.16.2011 - This past weekend, a site visitor posted in our forum that Jason X Director Jim Isaac was battling cancer. This was indeed very sad news, but we were unable to find out more information about his condition or other circumstances. Today we have the news confirmed with some more information and a way to contact Jim.
According to Arrow In The Head, Jim is indeed battling a blood cancer that has taken quite the toll on the Director's body. His work on Jason X is often overlooked due to the poor circumstances surrounding the delayed release and mishandled marketing of the film. However, Jim gave a lot to the film and was very generous in communicating with the fans on message forums during the filming of the movie as well as during the theatrical release.
We like to take care of our own here, so please, if you want to cheer Jim up and lift his spirits, please drop him a line and send him encouraging words at the following address! We say good luck to Jim and hope he has a speedy recovery!

ReplyDeleteHe is a cool guy from what I have seen in the interviews and I do remember him from the old Friday the 13th forum. Hope he gets better soon!
I'm writing him today...Even though Jason X is prob. my least favorite of the series, Jim is still part of the Friday the 13th family. It goes beyond whether I like his movie or not, it's about being compassionate towards a good guy. Any encouraging words for someone going through their toughest battle in life will mean so much. Hoping for the best!
