Prince Charles Cinema Announces Mega Friday The 13th Marathon!
Just a little over a week ago, Prince Charles Cinema held a Friday The 13th marathon for which they screened Friday The 13th 1980 through Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter. Outside of the original film, the rest of the Jason Voorhees tales were screened with 35MM prints which was sure to be an exciting night for fans. With two more Friday The 13th dates still to come in 2012, it was only a matter of time before another marathon was announced and that time is now.
Relayed on the official Twitter account for the London based cinema, Friday July 13th will hold a mega marathon for the film franchise as the original eight Paramount films will be screened for an all day event! Prince Charles Cinema has not begun selling tickets as of yet, but keep checking their website, www.princecharlescinema.com, in the coming weeks for more information. Prices as of now are £30 / £25 for the huge viewing event.
As for seeing Friday The 13th Part 3 on the big screen in 3D, it was mentioned that the cost of showing the film in its original 3D format would be too costly and most likely raise ticket prices. Even if the film will not be shown in 3D, it is still a blast to watch on the bog screen with a huge crowd. When more information information becomes available, we will let you know!
