Two Different Part 3 NECA Jason Figures To Be Sold. Combo Pack Too?
Three weeks ago, we brought you new product images of the new Jason Voorhees figure created by NECA toys for which two different Jason figures stood side by side from the same film. That prompted some fans to wonder if we were going to be getting two different Jason figures from Friday The 13th Part 3, instead of the initial thought that one figure was coming with two removable heads and hockey masks. We have been trying to confirm this since then with no reply from NECA, but today we found something very interesting.
Over at Big Bad Toy Store, they recently listed a new pre-order for a combo pack of two Jason Voorhees figures from Part 3! The combo pack is listed as Friday the 13th Part 3 Series 01 - Set of Regular & Battle-Damaged Jason Figures. Below is the product description.
The definitive versions of Jason in action figure form are upon us! Taken from Friday the 13th Part 3, these figures include both regular and battle-damaged versions of Jason, each with a unique mask and head. Weapons include machete, axe, and spear gun. Jason stands 7 1/2" tall and has over 25 points of articulation.
This set is to include the following figures:
1x Jason
1x Battle-Damaged Jason
The expected release date for this combo pack is also listed as September 2012, so that brings up some new questions for fans. Does this mean that the new Jason figures from NECA are going to be released in September instead of the original implied June date, or is the first Jason in the Series 01 Friday the 13th Part 3 line being released in June and the second in September to be included in this new combo pack? Only time will tell, but fans are very excited for the release of the Part 3 and the Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter Jason figures, yet no solid release date has been announced by NECA yet.
