Actor Spotlight: Martin Cummins (“Wayne”, Jason Takes Manhattan)
Martin is best known by horror genre fans as Wayne in Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan, however, most fans may not realize that he is a very accomplished actor that has starred in numerous movies and television shows. One of his most notable roles was Nick Boyle in the MGM series Poltergeist: The Legacy as well as recurring roles in Dark Angel with Jessica Alba and the rebooted V television show.
Martin was born in British Columbia, Canada and as such, most of his roles originate in that country. He attended the Vancouver Actors Studio where he trained under Mel Tuck, a highly respected pioneer of Canadian theater. Martin is greatly involved in the local actors organizations and helps Canadian theater and movie organizations progress further every year.
Martin also wrote his semi-autobiographical film, We All Fall Down. He also produced and directed the independent film, and it was nominated for 3 Leo Awards.
