Friday The 13th's Aaron Yoo Becomes Tomorrow Person
For all of the complaints of character stereotyping in Friday The 13th 2009, this writer thought Aaron Yoo did a great job as the character Chewie and was a nice slice of comic relief for the film. His encounter with Jason Voorhees was both fun and tragic in its conclusion. Aaron also made a brief appearance in the A Nightmare On Elm Street remake in 2010, but now he set to jump to television for a Sci-Fi adventure.
According to Digital Spy, Aaron has been cast in the new adaptation of a classic UK Sci-Fi series from the 1970's called The Tomorrow People. The premise sounds just like X-Men, and is geared for the CW crowd.
From Digital Spy
Like the original, the new Tomorrow People will follow a team of young people who represent the next stage in human evolution and develop amazing powers. Yoo will play Russell, the team's 'bad boy'. The 33-year-old is best known for his film credits, including roles in 2007's Disturbia, 2008's Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and 2009's Friday the 13th. Also cast in the Tomorrow People pilot are Casualty actress Madeleine Mantock, Revenge star Robbie Amell, Mad Men's Peyton List, Home and Away actor Luke Mitchell and Supernatural's Mark Pellegrino. The adaptation has been written by Chuck's Phil Klemmer and is currently under consideration for a series pick-up at The CW
