Props: Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6 Screen Used Tombstone
We have highlighted so many props from the Friday The 13th films to this point, that now it's hard to find anything that really makes us stare at an item in pure amazement. With that being said, one of the more recognized props from the films is Jason Voorhees' headstone from Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6. Most fans have probably seen the prop as it was featured in the special features on the DVD for Jason Lives, but there hasn't been any real close-up images of the headstone, until now.
Currently, the film prop resides at Director Tom McLoughlin's house in his back yard in the garden of his wife Nancy McLoughlin (Who played Lizbeth in Part 6). The headstone is made of granite and is mentioned to be very heavy. Tom took the images of the headstone (pictured below) so to be posted in a fan Facebook Group called Jason Lives. It is there that he mentioned that it was cheaper at the time to have a granite headstone made in Georgia than a Styrofoam prop made in Hollywood to be shipped to his shooting location.
Enjoy the photos of the prop and let us know what you think!
