Actor Spotlight: Barbara Howard (Sara, Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter)
Barbara Howard was born in Chicago, Illinois and went on to act in numerous television shows and movie productions. Her first on-camera appearance was in a 1983 episode of the television show Silver Spoons, and from there she would go on to be involved in over twenty projects throughout her acting career.
She became most popular to U.S. audiences with her turn as Robin Agretti in the primetime Soap Falcon Crest during the 1985-1986 seasons. Barbara also would appear in several other television shows including the 1980's show Airwolf as well as the popular 1990's shows In The Heat Of The Night, Picket Fences, and Millenium. The actress would revisit the Horror genre for one last time with the direct to video Horror sequel Amityville: A New Generation in 1993. Of course, Friday The 13th fans know Barbara because of her turn as Sara, the cautious and unassuming girl of her group from Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter.
Barbara's character's death in The Final Chapter is still a fan favorite 30 years after the release of the film. The charm of the Sara character still resonates with audiences in the present. Today, Barbara resides in the Chicago, Illinois area, retired from acting since 2000, and is now a practicing psychotherapist helping people troubled with a bevy of psychological issues.
