Advertising: Witness The 'Jason Takes Manhattan' German Video Store Standee
We continue our look at international marketing items today with another rare and exciting video store standee. As mentioned previously, this writer received some great images a few years ago from Mario Kirner, who owns the Friday The 13th Props Museum. One of the very cool items he owns is the German video store standee of Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan.
Mario acquired the standee from a video store in his town and as you can see, it is just as large as theater lobby standees. If you look closely at the hockey mask displayed on the standee, you will notice something doesn't quite fit in with Jason's trip to New York. The mask in the display was actually used in Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6 and not Jason Takes Manhattan!
So here is yet another great advertising item used to market Jason Takes Manhattan through it's home video release. Look for more of these kind of items to be written about in the near future.
