Could This Art Tease Be For NECA's Upcoming 'Jason Lives' Mego Figure?
This past February 13th, popular toy company NECA unveiled their latest Jason Voorhees figure release representing Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6. Fans have been excited ever since to get their hands on the figure as the street date looms. One of the fun things about owning these figures, besides the excellent attention to detail of the figure and the accessories, is the packaging art.
Recently, artist Jason Edmiston posted a nice teaser image on his Instagram account of some new art he is working on and it is representative of the infamous cemetery scene from the opening of Jason Lives. Could this be part of the new packaging art for NECA's release of their latest Mego Jason offering? We think it's a pretty good bet.
We can't wait to see the full design soon. Look for the latest Jason Voorhees figure to hit stores this June!
UPDATE: Jason updated his Instagram account with a line drawn image of the new artwork and he confirms it's for the NECA packaging!
