Kevin Bacon Joins Boston Marathon Bombing Pic 'Patriot's Day'

It's great to see alumni of of the Friday The 13th films starring in other projects and Kevin Bacon is indeed one of the most popular to come out of the franchise. In recent years he has come to embrace his role in the original Friday The 13th little by little as he ventured back in the horror genre. Now he has just signed on to a film that deals with a gripping story that is still very fresh in our mind.

According to Variety, Kevin will co-star in Patriot's Day, which will follow the events leading up to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and its aftermath, which includes the city-wide manhunt to find the terrorists behind it. He will play FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard DesLauriers. We look forward to his work on the film and know he will do a great job!
