'Friday The 13th: The Game' Update: Beta Key Availabilty And Virtual Cabin Tease
Last Friday, Machinima posted a video talking about their phone interview with Friday The 13th: The Game co-creator Wes Keltner. In the video, there was a number of topics discussed that our readers have been aware of for some time, but a few things were revealed that will be of interest to excited gamers and fans of the franchise.
First off, Beta Keys will be made available late August/early September for those lucky enough to get their hands on them to check out the game early before its full release in October. It will be fun to see what people think of the game before it officially launches and see where everyone's excitement lies with certain parts of the gameplay.
The other fun reveal from the Machinima video has to do with the Virtual Cabin. The Digital Camp Crystal Lake Cabin Retreat and Interactive Dev Diary is an add-on feature that can be purchased as part of the Slasher Backer campaign for $15. As we discussed in late December 2015, the cabin is a fully immersive experience that lets fans have access to all of the on-going development for the game, which are broken into cabin rooms and feature the weapons, versions of Jason, and other relevant items in the game.
The Machinima video mentioned that while fans are touring inside the cabin, they should take a long look out of the windows as they will be greeted by some fun surprises. What those are is a mystery for now, but when the Virtual Cabin opens in a few weeks, we are sure to find out what Gun Media has in store.
Check out the aforementioned video below and watch out for more information on the game in the near future.
