Producer Brad Fuller Talks Script Progress For New Friday The 13th Film
Back in March, Platinum Dunes producer Andrew Form discussed the new Friday The 13th film at Wondercon and mentioned the new script by series newcomer Aaron Guzikowski was due in April. Since then we have not heard about the progress of the script or if it was approved by Paramount. Now we have a small update about where the film is at in the pre-production process.
While being interviewed by This Is Infamous about the upcoming release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, Producer Brad Fuller dished a little bit about the status of the script. During the conversation, Fuller mentions the script was turned in a few weeks ago and that “He’s a better writer than we deserve for this franchise". "He" is referring to Aaron Guzikowski and Fuller went on to explain that he and Paramount have sent him notes based on his new script to make some updates. Now Platinum Dunes and Paramount are waiting for that updated draft to make a decision on how to proceed next.
It is encouraging to see this proposed new film is still making progress and that we are hopefully getting closer to a new film. Check out the interview with Brad below.
