Director John Carl Buchler's Original 'Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood' Script
It is now a well known fact that there was in-fighting among the creative powers working on Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood, and that led to some questionable decisions, especially the ending of the film with Tina's father emerging from Crystal Lake. There were a number of script rewrites after Daryl Haney was originally brought in to craft the story for Paramount Pictures, so it is always fun to see what the actual scripts looked like during the production. Recently, Mario Kirner was able to obtain director John Carl Buechler's personal script that he used while filming The New Blood.
Photos of the script were posted at the Friday The 13th Props Museum Facebook Page for which our readers will notice that John had a leather binder with gold lettering created for his script. The pages state that script date as 10/13/1987 and there are numerous notations made throughout the pages. This is a great addition to the Props Museum and to any fan's Friday The 13th collections!
