Behind The Scenes Images With Douglas Tait On 'Freddy vs Jason'
It was about ten years ago that I first discovered actor Douglas Tait was the third person to play Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs Jason. In fact, I was lucky enough to post some of the very first behind the scenes images of Doug as Jason in the film. Over the years, a number of these images were lost or scattered about the World Wide Web (and even this site). Since a new behind the scenes image from Doug's time on the film recently surfaced, it was decided that it would be a good idea to try and capture all of the images we have in one place.
Below are various behind the scenes photos of Douglas Tait as Jason Voorhees, which consisted of the final scene in the film where Jason emerges from the lake with Freddy's head. As you can see in the photos, Doug has a replica Freddy head attached to his hand for far away shots in the lake, and then Robert England himself was put to work with a green screen and Doug for the close-up where Freddy winks at the camera.
We will add more images to this post as we sift through the archives, but enjoy what we have below. Many of our readers have seen these photos by now, but there may be some fans that discover these for the first time.
To find out more about this end scene and how it was filmed, make sure to read our interview with Douglas Tait from a few years ago!
