Alamo Drafthouse Presents ‘The New Blood’ For Terror Tuesday On 35mm
Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood is the one entry in the franchise that has a well-documented power struggle between director and producer, and that coupled with the heavy editing (and censorship) orchestrated by the MPAA, make this a fascinating film based on the production alone. As a movie, the most basic Friday The 13th formula is delivered to fan's delight with a psychokinetic twist. Jason Voorhees is at his absolute nastiest, so it is great pleasure to report on a very special screening of the film.
In order to celebrate The New Blood's 30th anniversary, The Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn will be showing The New Blood as part of their Terror Tuesday series. The screening will take place on Tuesday July 3rd at 9:30 pm. Make sure to visit the theater’s site to buy tickets now.
About The Film
Ever since homicidal maniac Jason Voorhees got trapped in chains at the bottom of Crystal Lake, the area has been at peace….without a murder. But one of the season’s happy campers has brought along a deadly secret
Tina Shepherd can see the future and levitate objects. Her doctor knows just how dangerous telekinesis can be, but he’s out to exploit her, not help her. And now it is too late. Tina has accidentally unchained Jason from his watery grave and the bloodbath is underway.
Tina’s special powers are her only hope for survival. But what chance does a teenage girl have against an axe-wielding maniac?
