Watch The Original Friday The 13th In The Town It Was Filmed!

Roy's Hall is a historic theater in Blairstown, New Jersey and has it's own assortment of rich history being very popular up until the 1930's with silent films and had a strong run for many years until it was shut down for a time in the 1960's. Outside of the theatrical history of the building itself, the Roy's Hall (formerly Historic Blairstown Theater) also has the unique distinction of being seen in the original Friday The 13th film that was released in 1980. As such, it has become a popular building to take photos of by touring fans looking for the filming locations for the original Voorhees slasher whodunit.

Every so often the theater owners decide to have an actual screening of Friday The 13th 1980 (usually on a Friday The 13th) to commemorate the theater and the town of Blairstown's place in the Friday The 13th film franchise. The theater will be showing the classic film on Friday September 13th at 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Please visit their website, royshall.org, for more information about ticket prices.

This is a great opportunity for fans to not only tour the town that gave birth to the franchise, but actually watch the film in one of the locations that appeared in the seminal slasher classic!
