Tom Savini Documentary Shows Detailed Jason Voorhees Make-Up Appliance To Ted White

In 2019, there was a comprehensive documentary released titled Smoke And Mirrors: The Story Of Tom Savini. The film documents Tom's life up to and beyond his revolutionary make-up affects work on countless horror films through three decades and beyond. Within the documentary, there is a spectacular section which shows the Jason Voorhees make-up being applied to actor Ted White for Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter. Until this footage was shown in Tom's documentary, there was only bits and pieces of behind the scenes footage available of this makeup session.

Check out the footage below, which features producer Frank Mancuso Jr. It is really amazing to see the steps involved in getting Ted to look like the deformed Jason Voorhees. At the end of the video, there is even a test shot of the climactic scene where Trish knocks Jason's hockey mask off with the machete!
